When buying new car...
... never forget to check if the collective agreement between employer
and employees of your favourite brand is not set
to expire
at the same time as you want to receive the new car...

Compile OpenOffice.org on Apple TV?
Now, that you
can boot
Mac OS X on Apple TV, who will be the first one to compile
OpenOffice.org on it? ;-)
The cheapest new Mac available for USD 299? ;-) Apple did it again!

Non-April fool April Fool Days blog
This is just to clarify my previous entries and to prevent various
intolerances (e.g. based on countries, nations, ...) from various
people ;-).
In the real world, OpenOffice.org Mac porters look like idiots because they do what is already done ("Why not use NeoOffice?"). The reality is elsewhere.
In the real world, NeoOffice developers look like idiots because they do what will be useless after native "AQUA" port of OpenOffice.org is finished. The reality is elsewhere.
To sum up: we all look like idiots to real world people. I do not like to be called idiot (especially from Mac users!), but unfortunately I can't do anything with this and to ventilate my frustration, I use April Fools day to point to this situation again and again.
And this is not April Fools joke :-( This is pure non-virtual reality.

NeoOffice (registered trademark of Planamesa Inc.) has a new candidate for the base product
NeoOffice
(registered trademark of Planamesa Inc.) is using OpenOffice.org
(trademark of Team OpenOffice.org e.V.) source code, relicencing it
from GNU (GNU is not a trademark yet) LGPL (LGPL is not a trademark
yet) to GNU GPL (GPL is not a trademark yet) and extending/modifying
it.
This will no longer apply!
All (sorry for my English, but is it the correct word or should I use the word "both" here?) developers are now very upset with "Windows (Windows is surely a trademark of Microsoft) engineers" hacking deeply inside OpenOffice.org and thus they finally decided to base their next future version, NeoOffice/C#, on AbiWord (AbiWord is a trademark of Dom Lachowicz).
They have my respect and I'm very sorry to loose them. It was fun to watch their boat from the air (gulls!).

New logo: finally
The endless voting process inside the
community is now finished! We finally have a new logo. No gulls, a sea
motive is still present there though.
The complete style guide for the new logo is to be finished, but this is minor issue. We finally have it. Enjoy it!
